Hi there. My name is Joy and my mother in law, daughters and I just saw your fabulous show in KC. My niece, Grace, was on her way to Soldier Field to see you in Chicago last night. Grace is seven and was SO excited that her mom and dad had planned this surprise trip to Chicago to see you. However, on the way to the concert, she was hit by a car by a driver with a suspended license. She was taken to Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. She fractured her skull in two places, has four head lacerations, and lots of road burn on her beautiful little face. She had surgery to repair skull damage last night and THANKFULLY, she is alert and there doesn’t seem to be any long term damage. The hospital is keeping her for now and then, she will have to come home to Missouri to recover.
While we know you have an incredibly busy schedule, if you would happen to want to give little Gracie a call, PLEASE let me know. I can provide you with her mom, cell phone number. This was to be her first Taylor concert…..but trust me, Grace is as stubborn and strong as they come so she WILL be making her way to a future concert soon!
Thank you.
Grace’s aunt, Joy
