Look, the last few weeks have been overwhelming. Between Game of Thrones killing off literally all your faves every damn Sunday, waking up early to check if the royal baby has been born yet, and the alarming after shocks of the Kardashian cheating scandal, it’s all just a lot. Which brings us to KITTENS.
In case you hadn’t noticed, Taylor “Rainbow, Sparkles, Hearts, Butterflies” Swift’s new song “ME!” is out, and she introduced the newest member of her family to the world in the music video. He’s a tiny doe-eyed kitten named Benjamin Button, he loves tummy rubs and purring, and he has stolen what little remains of the internet’s collective heart.
Apparently, Taylor met this kitten on set of the “ME!” video and immediately fell in love, and fortunately cameras were there to preserve the entire moment. Check out the video below, where Taylor meets her new feline friend for the first time, learns he’s available for adoption, forces everyone in her life to hold him and acknowledge his cuteness, jokes about giving birth to him (help), and eventually adopts him.
FYI, Benjamin Button is Taylor’s third cat-child, joining her first daughters Olivia Benson and Dr. Meredith Grey.
